• During cold winter months, using metal water dishes can be a hazardous risk to your pet, because your pet’s tongue can stick to the frozen metal. When you bring your pet inside at night, dump the water, bring their bowl inside, and refill the bowl with fresh water at room temperature the next day.
• During the summer, metal bowls can get very hot and burn your dog’s tongue. Avoid leaving the metal bowl outside during high temperature days to avoid any harmful risk.
