Warm Weather Tips For Your Pet

Like This!

Taking these preventative measure for your pet’s safety and well being, will insure a happy fun-filled Spring and Summer!

For Dogs and Cats: Buy flea and tick spot-on protection! This will save you (and your baby) weeks, or months of torture and bad times dealing with those nasty buggers!

Add a salmon oil (omega 3) supplement to your pet’s food! Many skin allergies start to rear their ugly head right about now…this supplement is the the END ALL BE ALL ANSWER! It makes coats conditioned, clear, soft…and helps skin allergies 10-fold! Also works wonders for shedding and dandruff too!

Groom your pet for the season! Get rid of Winter’s old hair and bring out that shiny new coat! Do it yourself. Give a good brush, a good shampoo, another good brush while shampoo is still on to remove even more old fur/hair, rinse…ta dah…just gorgeous!

Always carry a gallon thermos filled with cold, fresh water when traveling with your pet.

Never leave your pet alone in a vehicle. Even with the windows open, a parked automobile can quickly become a furnace in no time. Parking in the shade offers little protection, as the sun shifts during the day.

The right time for playtime is in the cool of the early morning or evening, but never after a meal or when the weather is humid.

Be especially sensitive to older and overweight animals in hot weather. Brachycephalic or snub- nosed dogs such as bulldogs, pugs, Boston terriers, Lhasa apsos and shih tzus, as well as those with heart or lung diseases, should be kept cool in air- conditioned rooms as much as possible.
