Tired of Excessive Barking? Try our Friday Tip

There are many tips for pooches that excessively bark, as there are several reasons why they do bark; i.e., barking at visitors, territorial barking, attention-seeking barking, and many more.

I know several people with dogs who bark incessantly when people come over, and they have a hard time to alleviate, control or stop it. Our Friday tip comes courtesy of ASPCA, and suggests that when your dog excessively barks, try ‘Go To Your Spot’ training, which teaches your dog a behavior to learn for when guests come over. You will have to reward he or she with a treat, and practice their spot several times, as well as well as finding new ‘go to’ spots to remind he or she that they WILL NOT bark when friends and family visit.

"Carol was very loving and attentive to Chance and Nina. She went out of her way to stay in touch and respond to communications while we were gone. She was cheerfully accommodating when we changed plans for our return date. We are completely satisfied with your service and will be using you again."
