The Best, Most Caring Pet Nannies

Pet Nanny is dedicated to employing only the best, most caring and qualified pet lovers around. We run each sitter through an extensive screening.

How do we hire our Pet Nannies?

All of our Pet Sitters go through a very thorough screening, vetting, and training process before they earn a spot on our team. We require stellar references, a clean background check, pet first aid certification, and that our sitters complete a two-part orientation process before they receive their first solo assignment. We only work with the best people and hold them to a very high standard! My hiring philosophy is: We can never be too thorough and YOU and your pets can never be too happy!

Pet Nanny is dedicated to employing only the best, most caring and qualified pet lovers around. We run each sitter through an extensive screening.

Before joining Pet Nanny, I was a teacher so I know the importance of attention to detail, good communication, and making a connection. In my spare time, I enjoy being outside, hiking (especially at Valley Forge Park), backpacking, and planning travel adventures! I understand how important it is to know your family pets are safe and happy when you can’t be with them and I’m committed to taking care of your pets as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry pals soon!

Clara M

Hello there! I’m Clara; I’m so excited to meet you and your furry pals. I graduated from Haverford College in May of 2022 with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience, and will return to school to get my nursing degree and license at Villanova starting May of 2023. I currently live in Bryn Mawr with one roommate, though I have big dreams of a dog in the near future.

Outside of academia, I’m a registered EMT, a nursing technician in a local hospital, a nanny, a knitter, a baker, a powerlifter, and the biggest animal lover. I grew up with a total menagerie of pets furry, scaled, and feathered, and have never felt happier than with a four-legged friend by my side.

My first two words were “dog” and “cat,” my mother always reminds me, and that penchant has never changed…

I’ll be honored and delighted to take care of your pets like they are my own — looking forward to meeting you soon!

Colleen W

I’m Colleen, nice to meet you! I’m a longtime resident of the Main Line and currently reside in the Villanova area. More importantly, I’m a dedicated Pet Parent to a hound/lab/pit mix named Peaches adorable ferrets named Viggo, Koda, and Mortimer, and my Betta fish, Pappu. Prior to Pet Nanny, I was a Nanny to human children for 10+ years.

Suffice to say, intuiting the needs of those in my care, striving to meet them, and having direct and open communication with their caretakers is second nature to me. I will not only care for your pets like my own but with full knowledge and respect that I am being entrusted with a member of your family. And yes, that does include as many head scratches and belly rubs as their little heart’s desire.

When I’m not caring for my own or anyone else’s pet, I’m either illustrating, working on one of several books, completing DIY home projects, or enjoying the great outdoors! I look forward to meeting you and your fur, feather, and/or scaley family soon!

Donna M

 Pet First Aid Certified

Hi there! I’m Donna and I have been living happily in Berwyn for over 30 years. I enjoy keeping company with all types of animals and tend to treat them like they are people as much as I can. Meaning, they are just as beloved and deeply cared for as the humans closest to me. We’ll also have conversations, profound eye gazing and even dance on occasion! 🙂

I’ve had a wide variety of pets over the years. Including fish, newts, frogs, salamanders, rats, sea monkeys (lol), an anole, a rabbit and a few cats. I’ve spent time with and cared for birds, snakes, gerbils, hamsters, iguanas and all types of dogs. I have nursed ill pets, administered medicines and kept strict/specific feeding schedules.

Taking care of your dear pets, who I know are loved members of your families is my pleasure and honor. Truly. My beautiful cat Mercury is very much my child. I only want the best life has to offer for him. Always. I won’t treat your babies any different when they are in my care. Thanks for reading and I’m looking forward to meeting you!–

Ed D

Hi, I’m Ed. I have a great love, respect, and appreciation for all animals. I will be the best Pet Nanny possible for your furry friends. I know how much my wife and I value a great pet sitter or dog walker, and now I am available to fill that role for pet owners in our community. I will perform my duties as your Pet Nanny in a professional manner. I will carefully follow instructions for feeding and care, and maintain a high level of communication with owners.

I have a lot of experience caring for dogs and cats. I grew up in Montgomery county in a large family with eight children and many pets including dogs, cats, lizards, and guinea pigs. We had a Rottweiler and a Weimaraner. During my college years, my roommate and I adopted a cat, rabbit, chinchilla, and bird, and cared for those pets for years. I currently live in Ardmore with my wife and two cats. One of our cats developed diabetes and requires two insulin shots per day, which I administer.

I also have experience administering subcutaneous fluids. For the past 15 years I have worked for Drexel University and Perelman School of Medicine in the area of grant funded research administration. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and will strive to exceed your expectations.

Kristen C.

 Pet First Aid Certified

Hi, my name is Kristen. I’m a single mother to 2 kids and live in the Malvern area. I grew up in Newtown Square, attended Villa Maria for 12 years, and graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a Bachelors in Business.

I worked in corporate America for over 2 decades as a senior level admin supporting high level execs. The last few years I have been home with my kids who are both cyber students, facilitating their school work. This has allowed me the opportunity to volunteer for many things, one of which was working with the Brandywine Valley SPCA for a year in their SAFE program. I visited and walked dogs there, as well as, sat, played and socialized with the cats at the shelter.

I have always had dogs growing up as a child from a black lab to a toy poodle to our current fur babies JJ (a dog, Malshi – maletese / shitzu mix), Shadow (a black American short hair cat) and Cocoa (a white holland lop bunny).

My toy poodle Ashley who lived for 18 years had numerous medical issues throughout her life, the most prominent were seizures, and then various heart issues and swelling in her legs, toward the end of her life. I know exactly what it is like to work FT outside the home and worry about when you can get home to let your pets out for a walk, administer medication or just have that peace of mind that they were looked in on and are ok until you return.

That is the sort of compassion and caring I would bring to your pets as a pet nanny! I am thrilled to be part of the Pet Nanny team!
